We're Looking for Electricians, Not Salespeople

At Buddy & Sons Electric, we believe skilled electricians should be focused on providing quality electrical work, not meeting sales quotas or pushing unnecessary products and services.

We're seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician who takes pride in their craft, values integrity, and enjoys solving problems for customers. If you're looking for a company where your electrical knowledge and workmanship are appreciated, we'd like to hear from you.

Position Summary

The Journeyman Electrician will perform residential, commercial, and service work, including installations, repairs, troubleshooting, maintenance, and project support. This position requires a well-rounded electrician who can work independently when needed while also contributing as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in residential and commercial settings
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently and accurately
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications
Install and service panels, circuits, lighting, controls, and electrical equipment
Ensure all work complies with applicable codes and safety standards
Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and team members
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
Support and help develop apprentices
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in residential, commercial, and service work
Valid driver's license with a good driving record
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of current electrical codes and industry standards
Ability to read plans, drawings, and specifications
Comfortable working with technology to manage work processes
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Strong communication and customer service skills
Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented
