Havana Jack’s Oceanside Restaurant and Bar is seeking a skilled and dedicated Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this vital role, you will assist in food preparation and ensure the efficient operation of our kitchen. Your attention to detail, strong knowledge of food safety protocols, and ability to collaborate with the team will directly contribute to the success of our kitchen and the quality of every dish we serve. If you’re passionate about the culinary arts, have experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and are eager to be part of a high-performing team, we want to hear from you. Join us and help create exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Job Description:

Lead food prep and assist in executing high-quality dishes
Support the Executive Chef in cooking and kitchen tasks
Adhere to Havana Jack’s recipes and portion guidelines for consistency and excellence
Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring with precision
Set up and stock workstations with all necessary supplies for efficiency
Maintain a clean and sanitized work area, including equipment and utensils
Receive and properly store food orders from vendors
Collaborate seamlessly with the kitchen team to ensure smooth, efficient operations

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a food service or culinary role
In-depth knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
Familiarity with menu planning and accommodating dietary restrictions
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining attention to detail
Strong communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
