Full Job Description

Service Writer

Auto Works is a Local independent automotive company who is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Service Advisor for our high-volume repair facility.

The responsibility of this role includes Answering the phone, greeting the customer, creating a service repair order based on the customer's request, and keeping the customer informed of the status of the repair. Assist in the operation of managing a profitable service department through productive staffing, strong customer satisfaction, cost controls, setting and meeting objectives with high initiative for change and control of service activity.

Service advisors provide sound and logical advice to the customer about the necessary repair of their vehicles.

JOB Duties:

-Assist customers with setting service appointments, and keeping our clients informed of the status of their vehicles in for service.

-Assist and or building proper estimates to present to a customer

-Selecting and researching quality parts.

-Research vehicle recalls, service & repair information (knowledge with Alldata, Pro Demand and Indetifix a plus)

-Assign work orders to technicians.

-Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day.

-Open and close work orders in a timely manner.

-Being able to sell needed vehicle maintenance repairs in an honest, ethical, courteous & professional manner.

-Follow and enforce company policies
-Maintaining control of inventory

-Open and close repair facility on a daily basis.

Job Requirements:

-Must have excellent customer service experience.

-Must work closely with vehicle repair technicians.

- Excellent verbal and written skills.

- Respectable comprehension of repair facility business systems and computer skills

- The ability to multi-task comfortably.

- Possess high level of overall technical knowledge.

- Clean driving record, and must pass drug screen

Education:

-Experience in the automotive service industry.

Schedule 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Pay Range : $45,000-$85,000 per year
