Full Job Description

Job Description:

MyCardiologist is a de novo cardiovascular ambulatory surgery center seeking a dedicated nurse to join our team. No nights, weekends, or on-call.

This role involves caring for patient undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular catheterization procedures including pacemaker and internal defibrillator implants in the outpatient setting. The scope of care includes patient teaching, hemodynamic monitoring of the patient, assisting the physician, administering IV sedation, verifying informed consent, documentation, medication administration, sheath removal, post-procedure patient care, and performing pre- and post-procedure phone calls. Additional duties include those related to accreditation and regulatory compliance such as quality improvement, medication management, and emergency preparedness.

· Perform pre-procedure patient assessment and verification, including allergies and medication review.

Prepare, monitor, and recover patients undergoing cardiac and vascular procedures.

· Administer and monitor moderate/conscious sedation during cardiac catheterization procedures.

. Continuously assess airway, respiratory status, oxygenation, vital signs, level of consciousness, cardiac rhythm, and overall patient condition.

. Administer medications safely and maintain knowledge of anticoagulation and antiplatelet therapy.

. Recognize rhythm changes, patient deterioration, and potential Cath Lab complications; respond promptly to emergencies.

· Collaborate with interventional cardiologists, technologists, and surgical teams, and anticipate procedural needs.

. Circulate diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.

. Document procedure events, medications, interventions, and patient response accurately.

· Operate and maintain cath lab equipment.

· Educate patients and families on pre- and post-procedure care.

· Adhere to AAAHC accreditation standards and patient safety protocols.

Requirements:

· Current Registered Nurse licensed in the State of FL

· ACLS and BLS (current)

· Cath Lab experience (3 year)

· Electrophysiology experience (3 year)

. Experience administering and monitory moderate/conscious sedation

. Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation, critical-thinking, and emergency response skills

Preferred Qualifications:

· ASC experience in a AAAHC facility (1 year)
