Full Job Description

Summary
Join the Mt. Bethel Church family as a Food Service Associate where your service to our loving and gracious community is important and appreciated. In this role, you will assist with meal preparation, serving and maintaining strict standards of food safety. Your friendly attitude and attention to detail will ensure that every meal service runs smoothly, supporting our community and staff fellowship. This position offers an engaging opportunity to continue development of your culinary skills while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our vibrant and friendly church community.

Duties

Be a productive and efficient team member with effective team communication and collaboration.
Check logs, menus and calendar each day.
Self-assign work as needed to complete the day’s goals and assist other team members whenever possible.
Be available to support special events that sometimes occur outside of normal work hours as needed.
Neatly prepare high quality meals on time, with attractive presentation while upholding strict hygiene standards.
Prepare and serve meals with courtesy and maintain excellent customer service.
Assist with set up, preparation, receiving orders, sanitation, organization, stock rotation, inventory tracking and other duties.
Assist with menu planning and bring new ideas to the team within budget and nutritional guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, dining areas, and food storage spaces to ensure sanitation compliance.
Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation, and kitchen operations to prevent accidents.

Qualifications

Must be Serve Safe Certified or achieve certification within 1 year of start date.
Must have knowledge of health department rules and regulations.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy meal periods.
Knowledge of menu planning and execution, school food service, catering experience and knowledge online order placement and working with sales representatives preferred.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
