Full Job Description

The Manorcrest Preparatory School is a boutique early learning academy serving children from infancy through Pre-K. Our thoughtfully designed campus combines high standards of education, care, nutrition, safety, and hospitality to create an exceptional experience for children and families.

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and experienced ServSafe Certified Preschool Cook to join our founding team. The Cook will prepare nutritious, appealing, child-friendly meals and snacks while maintaining an exceptionally clean, safe, and organized kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and serve nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snacks for infants, toddlers, preschool, and Pre-K children.

· Follow established menus, recipes, portion sizes, and nutritional guidelines.

· Prepare meals efficiently and on schedule for multiple classrooms.

· Maintain strict food-safety and sanitation standards.

· Monitor and document food temperatures and proper food storage.

· Maintain a clean, sanitary, and well-organized kitchen.

· Properly receive, label, date, rotate, and store food.

· Monitor food and kitchen-supply inventory and communicate ordering needs.

· Assist with receiving and organizing food deliveries.

· Follow procedures for children with allergies and dietary restrictions and prevent cross-contact and cross-contamination.

· Maintain accurate allergy and dietary information in coordination with school leadership.

· Maintain required kitchen and food-service records.

· Clean and sanitize food-preparation areas, equipment, dishes, utensils, refrigerators, and storage areas.

· Work closely with the Director and school leadership to maintain Manorcrest's standards for quality and safety.

Required Qualifications

· Current ServSafe certification.

· High school diploma or GED.

· Previous professional cooking or food-preparation experience.

· Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, temperature control, storage, and proper food-handling procedures.

· Ability to safely prepare meals for children with food allergies and dietary restrictions.

· Strong organizational and time-management skills.

· Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.

· Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties associated with a commercial kitchen.

· Ability to successfully complete all background-check and employment requirements applicable to a licensed Georgia childcare facility.

Preferred Qualifications

· Previous experience as a preschool, daycare, school, institutional, or childcare center cook.

· Experience preparing meals for infants and young children.

· Experience with menu planning, food ordering, inventory control.

· CPR/First Aid certification.

Compensation

$17.00–$21.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and childcare/school food-service background.
