PROJECT MANAGER + PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST

Company + Location
HouseLift Design — Marietta, GA (On-Site Only)
Applicants must currently reside in the metro Atlanta area; we are not considering candidates who would need to relocate.

HouseLift Design is a luxury full-service interior design firm based in Marietta, GA, specializing in custom homes, large-scale renovations, and furnishings and decor for elevated, livable interiors. Our team delivers high-touch, beautifully-curated experiences for clients seeking timeless design and exceptional service.

The Role
The Project Manager + Procurement Specialist reports directly to the Owner and works alongside the Design Team and Lead Project Manager. This role owns the full procurement lifecycle on client projects — pricing, ordering, expediting, and delivery coordination for furnishings, materials, and accessories moving from vendors around the globe to our clients' homes.

We're looking for someone with strong project coordination experience and a genuine love of building and maintaining color-coded spreadsheets. This role requires excellent vendor management and client communication skills, plus the ability to work dynamically in fast-moving situations while timing dozens of moving pieces toward installation deadlines.

Responsibilities

Procurement & Order Management

Place accurate, client-approved product and material orders with vendors
Create proposals and purchase orders; confirm vendor information and apply payments
Support the Design team in developing accurate budgets for client presentations
Confirm and monitor out-of-stock and long lead time products
Manage orders and track production, shipment, and delivery of each item, reporting updates and flagging delays as needed

Expediting & Logistics

Communicate incoming project shipments with our receiving warehouse and manage the delivery schedule
Coordinate delivery and installation with receivers, movers, and vendors
Arrange and schedule furniture installation days with clients and the Design team
Oversee incoming and outgoing items at HouseLift Studio; inspect for damage and manage the replacement process with vendors
Manage damages, repairs, and replacements as needed
Unbox all packages shipped to the office (accessories, samples), keeping storage and inventory organized and labeled by client and space

Communication & Billing

Act as liaison between the Design team and vendors, maintaining thorough records of all communication
Manage the procurement email inbox
Communicate with clients professionally and efficiently as needed
Track all time associated with client accounts and bill accordingly
Prepare detailed final invoices that accurately reflect all costs and profitability margins associated with each project

A Note on Career Path
This position does not have a design-oriented career track. Future advancement would most likely remain project management oriented. If your goal is to become an interior designer, this role will not get you there.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, order management, expediting, and/or project coordination — interior design, furniture, or luxury home industry experience strongly preferred
Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
Comfortable with spreadsheet creation and accuracy (Excel or Google Sheets)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and shifting timelines without losing accuracy
Willingness to jump in on a variety of tasks as needed in a collaborative team environment

Physical & Travel Requirements

This position requires the ability to lift and move packages up to 25 lbs. and to unbox, inspect, and organize incoming inventory
Requires a valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and current auto insurance. Local travel is required to process in-store returns, complete sample requests, pick up and return samples, and make onsite client project visits.

Compensation + Benefits

$58,000 – $62,000 per year (based on experience) + discretionary year-end bonus. The year-end bonus is based on individual project performance and company results. It is not guaranteed and is awarded at the company's sole discretion.
