American Producers Supply is seeking a motivated and experienced Branch Operations Support Trainer to help support the continued growth of our 17 branch locations. Our corporate headquarters and primary distribution center are in downtown Marietta, Ohio, with branches throughout Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Indiana, and Michigan.
This position is ideal for someone with warehouse operations and sales experience who enjoys training others, traveling, and helping teams succeed. You will play a key role in onboarding new employees, supporting branch operations, and ensuring consistent warehouse procedures across our organization. The candidate’s home base can either be Marietta, OH (Corporate Offices) or at our branch in Columbus, OH. This position will report to the Vice President of Operations.
Position Summary
As the Branch Operations Support Trainer, you will train new warehouse employees on our Warehouse Management System (WMS), ERP software, inside sales functions (order to cash) and company operating procedures. You will also provide operational support to branches as needed, helping maintain efficiency and consistency throughout the company.
The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training to become an effective trainer and will gain experience in all warehouse functions to provide support wherever needed.
Travel is required approximately 75% of the time, including overnight stays within our service area. All business travel expenses are paid by the company.
Primary Responsibilities
- Train new employees on warehouse operations, WMS, ERP systems, inside sales functions (order to cash) and company processes.
- Provide operational warehouse support and coverage for branches company wide.
- Assist branches with day-to-day warehouse operations both on-site and remotely.
- Support employees after training to reinforce learning and ensure successful adoption of procedures.
- Help maintain standardized warehouse practices across all branch locations.
- Crosstrain in all warehouse functions to effectively support branch operations.
- Safely operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and company delivery vehicles as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, WMS/ERP systems, employee training, customer service, or a related field.
- Knowledge of retail/wholesale sales
- Knowledge of inbound and outbound warehouse operations.
- Experience managing inventory and cycle count programs.
- Construction or industrial supply experience is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with employees and customers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays.
- Experience operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks is preferred.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.50 per hour
