Full Job Description

Job Summary

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager is responsible for leading budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and business performance analysis for a growing logistics company. This role partners closely with operations, transportation and executive leadership to provide financial insights that improve profitability, efficiency, and strategic decision-making. The FP&A Manager develops financial models, monitors key performance indicators (KPIs), and supports business growth initiatives.

Duties

Lead annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes.
Develop revenue, labor, transportation, and operating expense forecasts.
Prepare long-range financial plans and scenario analyses.
Oversee budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast targets.
Analyze profitability by transportation type, customer, region and route Utilize business intelligence tools to enhance financial report writing and support data-driven decision-making across departments.
Evaluate fuel, labor, fleet, and transportation costs.
Conduct variance analyses and explain financial results to management.
Support pricing and contract profitability assessments.
Improve forecasting accuracy and financial reporting processes.
Collaborate with operations, sales, and supply chain teams to support decision-making.
Develop dashboards and track key logistics metrics

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
3–8+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, or related experience.
Experience in logistics, transportation, distribution, supply chain, or warehousing preferred.
Proficiency with financial software systems and business intelligence tools for data analysis and report generation.
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Knowledge of logistics cost drivers and operational KPIs.
