Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Line Cook to prepare delicious meals in our fast-paced food stall. You’ll work alongside a small but dedicated team to ensure every order is cooked fresh, plated beautifully, and served quickly. Prior line cooking experience is helpful.

Key Responsibilities

Prep ingredients (chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, making sauces, etc.) according to daily prep lists
Cook menu items to order using grills, fryers, flat-tops, or woks as required
Ensure consistent portion sizes, plating, and food quality
Coordinate with the cashier to time orders accurately during busy rushes
Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (temperature logs, labeling, etc.)
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
Help with end-of-day cleaning, including equipment, counters, and floors
Communicate clearly with team members during service

Requirements

1+ years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment (preferred)
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and knife skills
Ability to work quickly and calmly under pressure
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
Team player with a positive, can-do attitude

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for long shifts in a hot, busy environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (bags of produce, oil, etc.)
Comfortable with repetitive tasks (chopping, stirring, flipping)

Lead Line Cook – Food Stall

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and proactive Lead Line Cook to take charge of our kitchen during service. In this role, you’ll not only cook but also mentor junior staff, manage prep workflows, ensure quality control, and step in to solve problems on the fly. This is a great for someone who wants to take ownership of a kitchen in a fun, growing food business

Key Responsibilities (includes all Line Cook duties, plus:)

Oversee all hot-line stations during peak hours to ensure speed and quality
Lead daily prep, assigning tasks to junior cooks and ensuring completion
Train new line cooks on recipes, equipment, and stall procedures
Monitor food inventory and communicate low-stock items to the manager
Ensure all food safety logs (temperature, cooling, storage) are maintained
Troubleshoot kitchen equipment issues and report maintenance needs
Maintain recipe consistency and suggest improvements to the menu
Help with scheduling and shift coverage when needed
Close the kitchen properly, including deep-cleaning and end-of-day checklists

Requirements

2–3+ years of line cook experience in a fast-paced kitchen
Previous leadership or supervisory experience (even informally)
Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, safety, and sanitation standards
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to stay calm and organized during rush periods
Reliable transportation and punctuality
