POSITION SUMMARY
The Canvasser is responsible for engaging voters door-to-door and in public locations to collect legally compliant petition signatures and support Victory Field Operations' critical field programs across the Atlanta metro area and beyond. This role serves as the front-line representative of VFO and its clients, combining strong interpersonal communication, attention to documentation accuracy, and a commitment to quality that protects the integrity of every program. The Canvasser plays a critical role in advancing ballot access, voter contact, and civic engagement initiatives by consistently meeting daily production and quality standards while representing VFO with professionalism, integrity, and purpose.

Victory Field Operations is a data-driven field operations firm dedicated to delivering ballot access, petition management, signature verification, fraud detection, door-to-door canvassing, get-out-the-vote programs, and recount operations for campaigns and causes that cannot afford mistakes. The company partners with candidates, ballot initiatives, party organizations, PACs, and civic engagement programs to design, deploy, and defend high-integrity field programs statewide and nationwide. Built on integrity, discipline, accountability, and transparency, VFO runs field operations like a professional organization — with documented SOPs, rigorous quality controls, daily performance reporting, zero-tolerance fraud detection, and chain-of-custody documentation that protects every client's timeline and credibility.
OBJECTIVES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage voters and members of the public door-to-door and in approved public locations to collect legally compliant petition signatures
- Clearly and accurately communicate campaign, petition, or ballot initiative messaging in accordance with approved scripts and talking points
- Ensure all required petition forms, supporting documentation, and chain-of-custody materials are completed accurately and submitted on time
- Meet or exceed daily signature collection goals while maintaining the quality and validity standards established by VFO and its clients
- Attend all required training sessions, daily briefings, and debriefs to stay current on program requirements, legal guidelines, and performance expectations
- Follow all state-specific petition laws, compliance requirements, and VFO standard operating procedures to protect program integrity
- Represent VFO and its clients with professionalism, integrity, and a positive demeanor in all voter interactions and public settings
- Track and report personal production numbers, submission counts, and field observations accurately through VFO's reporting systems
- Communicate proactively with field supervisors regarding production progress, field challenges, and any incidents that may affect program quality
- Handle objections, questions, and rejection from the public professionally and constructively while maintaining a positive and solution-focused attitude
- Maintain all VFO-issued materials, supplies, and identification in good order and return them as required at the conclusion of each shift
- Continuously improve personal performance through coachable engagement with feedback, scorecards, and skill development provided by VFO leadership

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous canvassing, petition gathering, sales, customer service, or community outreach experience preferred
- Experience working in fast-paced, outdoor, or field-based environments preferred
- Reliable transportation required for travel to and from field assignments
- Smartphone required for navigation, reporting, and communication with field supervisors
- Ability to pass a background check and complete ID verification required
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and variable scheduling required
- Willingness to travel for out-of-state project assignments when available preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand, walk, and canvass on foot for 6 to 10 hours per day across varying terrain and weather conditions
- Ability to travel throughout the Atlanta metro area and greater Georgia and potentially out-of-state for project-based field assignments
- Ability to carry canvassing materials, petition forms, supplies, and equipment throughout the workday
- Ability to operate in outdoor environments including door-to-door residential neighborhoods and approved public locations
- Ability to maintain focus, professionalism, and physical stamina throughout long field shifts in varying environmental conditions
