What You’ll Do

As our Service Manager, you’ll play a key leadership role in driving the performance, profitability, and customer experience of the Service Department.

You will:

Lead, hire, coach, and manage Service Advisors, Technicians, BDC, Cashiers, and other Service Department team members
Set clear goals and expectations while developing your team and helping team members grow
Drive a high Customer Service Index (CSI) and increase customer retention
Address customer concerns and reduce complaints through strong communication and follow-through
Conduct regular Service Department meetings and establish performance goals and objectives
Manage shop production and scheduling to meet department pace and budget
Build employee schedules and maintain accurate tracking of Service Technician productivity
Ensure technicians remain current with manufacturer, ASE, and CDK training
Ensure proper service sales and customer service techniques are consistently followed
Review and understand manufacturer warranty requirements and policy procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for both customers and employees
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA requirements
Help create a culture focused on accountability, teamwork, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement
Other duties as assigned by manager

The ideal candidate is a confident automotive leader who knows how to motivate a team, take care of customers, and drive results.

Qualifications include:

Previous Service Manager Experience Required
Automotive dealership experience and knowledge of Service Department operations
Knowledge of warranty procedures and service scheduling preferred
Strong customer service, organizational, and negotiation skills
Goal-oriented, energetic, and enthusiastic leadership style
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong understanding of dealership operations, management, and customer relationships
Proficiency with dealership computer systems
Ability to lead in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Valid driver’s license required
