Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our traveling orthodontic team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from appointment scheduling to follow-up care. Your energetic and proactive approach will help foster positive patient relationships, streamline administrative processes, and support clinical staff in delivering exceptional healthcare services. This position offers an engaging opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives while working in a dynamic medical environment.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and assist them with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations using our medical administrative support systems
Verify patient insurance information, update medical records, and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete
Communicate effectively with patients regarding pre-visit instructions, test results, and follow-up care plans
Coordinate with clinical staff to prepare patient charts, gather necessary medical information, and facilitate smooth clinic operations
Manage incoming calls, inquiries, and appointment requests promptly while maintaining professionalism and empathy
Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with healthcare privacy regulations
Support billing processes by verifying insurance coverage and explaining payment procedures when needed

Requirements

Prior experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is highly preferred
Strong understanding of medical terminology to accurately interpret clinical notes and communicate effectively with staff and patients
Proven ability to provide excellent medical administrative support with attention to detail
Office experience demonstrating organizational skills and proficiency in scheduling software or electronic health records (EHR) systems
Dental office experience is a plus but not required; familiarity with dental terminology is advantageous
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly yet professional demeanor
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and compassion
