Job Summary

Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Busser/Dishwasher, where your energy and attention to detail will help create a seamless dining experience for our guests. In this vital role, you will support the front-of-house service staff by maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitized environment, ensuring that dishes, utensils, and service areas are spotless and ready for use. Your proactive approach will contribute to the overall cleanliness, safety, and efficiency of our restaurant operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational skills in food service and kitchen operations while working in a lively, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Clear and reset tables efficiently to prepare for new guests, ensuring a smooth flow of service.
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup.
Properly clean dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment or manual cleaning techniques following food safety sanitizing procedures.
Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen and dining areas by sweeping, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately.
Support food safety management by adhering to sanitation standards and following kitchen health and safety protocols.
Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies or equipment with proper technique to prevent injury.
Operate kitchen equipment safely when required, including dishwashers and other small appliances.
Assist with bussing duties by removing used dishes promptly and ensuring tables are sanitized for incoming guests.
Follow all food handling guidelines to uphold high standards of hygiene and sanitation throughout the restaurant.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service delivery during busy periods.

Experience

Previous experience in food service or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued.
Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards is a plus.
Experience with dishwashing or kitchen cleaning tasks demonstrates reliability in maintaining cleanliness standards.
Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely is essential.
Knowledge of basic food preparation or catering experience can be advantageous but is not mandatory; training will be provided.
A positive attitude towards teamwork and a willingness to learn new skills are highly appreciated.
