Account Executive – Cape Girardeau Market Development

Location: Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and surrounding Southeast Missouri region

Mayer Networks is now preparing to expand into the Cape Girardeau and Southeast Missouri market.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious, relationship-driven Account Executive to lead our new-business development efforts in Cape Girardeau and the surrounding Southeast Missouri region.

This is more than a traditional sales position. The individual hired for this role will help establish Mayer Networks’ presence in a new market by building local relationships, developing a qualified sales pipeline, and securing new clients.

Our long-term intention is to establish a permanent Mayer Networks location in the Cape Girardeau area as the client base and sales pipeline grow. The successful candidate will play a central role in building that operation and may have the opportunity to grow into a broader market leadership position.

Initially, the role will focus heavily on community involvement, prospecting, relationship development, and creating a sustainable funnel of qualified opportunities. The Account Executive will be supported by Mayer Networks’ established technical, sales engineering, project, and service teams.

Responsibilities

Develop Mayer Networks’ presence throughout Cape Girardeau and Southeast Missouri.
Build a consistent and measurable pipeline of qualified new-business opportunities.
Identify and prospect businesses, governmental organizations, medical practices, and other organizations that would benefit from professional IT support.
Establish relationships with business owners, executives, organizational leaders, and IT decision-makers.
Become actively involved in the Cape Girardeau business community through networking, chambers of commerce, professional organizations, and local events.
Conduct discovery meetings to understand prospective clients’ operational challenges, technology needs, cybersecurity risks, and long-term objectives.
Present solutions including Managed IT Support, Cybersecurity, VoIP, Virtual Desktop Hosting, Microsoft 365, Cloud Services, and Hardware as a Service.
Coordinate with Mayer Networks’ technical and leadership teams to develop proposals and technology recommendations.
Manage opportunities through the complete sales process, from initial prospecting through contract execution.
Maintain accurate prospect, activity, and opportunity records in ConnectWise Manage.
Assist with the development of a local client base capable of supporting a future Mayer Networks office and technical presence in Cape Girardeau.
Meet or exceed quarterly pipeline, recurring revenue, and new-client acquisition targets.

Qualifications

Three or more years of successful outside B2B sales experience.
Experience selling technology, telecommunications, managed services, cybersecurity, or other complex business services is preferred.
Existing relationships within the Cape Girardeau or Southeast Missouri business community are strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop relationships, and close new business.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Comfortable selling to business owners, executives, governmental leaders, and other senior decision-makers.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
Willingness to become an active and visible member of the local business community.
Ability to manage a longer, consultative sales cycle rather than relying on transactional sales.

Compensation

Base Salary: $60,000–$75,000, depending on experience.
Commission: Uncapped commission based on new monthly recurring revenue and initial project sales.
Target On-Target Earnings: $100,000–$140,000 or more annually with strong performance.

Compensation growth and additional leadership opportunities may become available as Mayer Networks expands its presence in the Cape Girardeau market.
