Overview
The Blender will know work order blending, operation of all blend tanks with a knowledge of forklift operation, and a basic knowledge of bulk tank farm operations. The Blender will know the company's Quality Management System standards. The Blender will be required to blend finished product in a timely manner. The Blender will be responsible for pumping the correct raw material for each blend as described by a pre-determined recipe.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Facility Manager, the Blender Operator will have direct responsibility for the following:
- Work safely with equipment and chemicals
- Understand Flotek Chemistry’s Quality Management System
- Work with other plant employees in day-to-day activities
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Perform basic preventive maintenance
- Know and understand JDE work order
- Use oral or written communication techniques
- Basic operation a forklift
- Identify materials for blending
- Able to lift 50 pounds to chest height
- Stand for long periods
- Basic knowledge of computers
- Be able to cross train to other departments
- Knowledge of SDS data and how to read them
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Read and understand work orders. Blend from a work order with minimal assistance.
- Coordinate with forklift drivers for blending needs.
- Work with lab personnel on blending QC, new blends, and completed blends requiring additional lab support.
- Assist with the maintenance department in repairing blending equipment.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent
