Full Job Description

Job Summary
Front Desk Assistant for a busy medical specialty office. Job responsibilities include greeting and checking in patients, answering phones and scheduling appointments, collecting payments and checking insurances. Will also provide coverage in other areas of the office when needed as well as many other responsibilities associated with running a front office. Must be proficient at keyboarding and have an outgoing personality. Medical office experience / knowledge a bonus.

Responsibilities

Greet visitors and clients in a friendly and professional manner
Manage multi-line phone systems, direct calls, and take messages accurately
Schedule appointments and manage calendars using Practice Management tools
Handle data entry, filing, and document proofreading to maintain organized records
Assist with office management tasks including supply inventory
Provide exceptional customer support and address inquiries promptly
Support administrative duties such as typing correspondence, managing emails, and supporting office staff
Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area to uphold a professional environment
Perform clerical duties including photocopying, faxing, and document organization

Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong computer literacy and data entry skills with high accuracy
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills
Experience with multi-line phone systems and office management software preferred
Previous office experience background is preferred
Strong typing skills with attention to detail for proofreading and document accuracy preferred
Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively
Personal assistant or medical/dental receptionist experience is advantageous for specific roles in our healthcare settings

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
