Duties

Prepare and cook breakfast items according to standardized recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, poaching stations, braising pans, and food processors safely and efficiently.
Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
Assist with menu planning by suggesting new breakfast ideas and ensuring adherence to dietary guidelines.
Handle food production tasks including food handling, portioning, plating, and garnishing with precision.
Maintain high-volume production standards during busy service hours while managing multiple orders seamlessly.
Support dietary department needs by preparing specialized meals or accommodating dietary restrictions when necessary.

Skills

Proven experience as a breakfast cook or in a similar food service role, preferably with fine dining or restaurant experience.
Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Excellent knife skills with the ability to perform precise food preparation techniques like braising, grilling, poaching, and meal assembly.
Familiarity with operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in high-volume settings.
Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and catering or large-scale food production is highly desirable.
Background in dietary aide work or dietary department experience enhances ability to meet diverse guest needs.
Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
