Full Job Description

For our client, we are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer (PE) to lead the design and execution of structural systems for industrial and manufacturing facilities. This role works closely with Architectural, Mechanical, Process, Piping, and Electrical teams to deliver safe, efficient, and code-compliant engineering solutions. This is a contract to perm opportunity in Greer, SC, Augusta, GA or Pittsburg, PA. Client will pay Per Diem if you need to relo to these areas for when you are a contractor. This is an on-site role.

Responsibilities

Design and analyze structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and light-gauge steel systems
Develop structures including equipment foundations, pipe racks, platforms, walkways, elevated structures, industrial buildings, and equipment supports
Perform structural calculations and ensure compliance with IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, OSHA, and ASTM standards
Lead and mentor engineers, designers, and drafters
Manage project schedules, deliverables, and multidisciplinary coordination
Interface with clients, contractors, and vendors
Support construction activities including site visits, RFIs, submittal reviews, and field verification

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) required
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
SE license preferred
Experience in industrial, manufacturing, processing, or specialty chemical facilities
A/E consulting experience strongly preferred
Proficiency with RISA, STAAD.Pro, RAM Structural System, and RAM Elements
Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks
Strong communication, leadership, and technical report writing skills

Willing to travel to client sites as needed
