Selected individuals will be expected to obtain a Certified Facility Manager (CFM) credential from the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) within 24 months of hire and maintain it thereafter.
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or other field related to the area of assignment; supplemented by five (5) years of experience in project management, landscape architecture, space utilization and planning, or other field related to area of assignment, to include lead or supervisory experience leading a facilities team, to include both trades and professional roles; three (3) years of experience managing a multi-site facilities portfolio for an institution, organization or governmental body; experience managing a multi-tenant facility or set of facilities including demonstrated experience leading complex projects for occupied facilities; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess and maintain a valid North Carolina driver’s license.
Preferred education & experience: Post-secondary education in Architecture, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering, or Facilities Management; Certified Facility Manager (CFM) credential from the International Facility Management Association (IFMA); Professional Engineer or Registered Architect license or certification; experience managing or leading a space utilization function or process; experience working in or with a Building Automation System (BAS) such as JCI Metasys, or Tridium Niagra.
