POSITION: Adjunct Instructor of Marketing (Undergraduate and Graduate programs)
DESCRIPTION: East Texas Baptist University invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor of Marketing in the Fred Hale School of Business.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have an earned master's (for undergraduate teaching) or doctorate for degree (for graduate teaching) with 18 graduate hours in Marketing or a closely related area. Candidates must have a strong commitment to academic scholarship and teaching, as well as the ability to communicate well with students and colleagues. Candidate must possess knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
DUTIES:
- Uses Learning Management System (Canvas) to post course content and grades
- Meets all faculty deadlines for roster certification, grade posting, and syllabus submission
- Maintains availability to meet with students concerning course readings, concepts, and materials
- Provides instruction appropriate to the education level of the course, which may include online instructions via Zoom
- Guides the student in professional responsibilities of marketers
- Offers evaluation of student discussions and written assignments
