Job Title: Greeter
Starting Pay Rate: $15.50-16.50 per hour
Job Class: Hourly, Non-Exempt (Part-time)
Location: Marshfield, MA
Job Summary: The Greeter will be responsible for welcoming and assisting customers as they enter the dispensary. The Greeter will serve as the gatekeeper, ensuring all customers meet entry requirements and have a positive first experience. The ideal candidate should be personable, professional, and knowledgeable about the products sold at the dispensary in addition to state compliance regulations for cannabis establishments. This position reports to the Retail Supervisors and the Dispensary Manager(s)
Duties & Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Greet customers professionally and assist them with entry into the dispensary. Answer phone and web inquiries. Adhere to scheduled shift times.

ID Verification: Check and verify customers’ valid identification to ensure compliance with state regulations (no entrance to persons under the age of 21 is permitted). Ability to verify IDs quickly and accurately while maintaining focus during peak times.

Queue Management: Ensure all customers are queued in the POS Software. Monitor the flow of customers entering the dispensary, manage lines, and ensure an organized waiting area.

Security Protocols: Work closely with security to maintain a safe environment, ensuring that all entry and/or visitor protocols are followed.

Customer Education: Provide basic information about the dispensary’s products, services, and policies to customers, directing them to Budtenders for more detailed assistance.

Problem Solving: Address customer concerns and inquiries promptly and politely. Escalate any issues to the General Manager or Security as needed.

Compliance: Uphold and enforce all state and local regulations regarding cannabis sales, including ensuring proper documentation and entry limits. Assist with daily inventory audits on cannabis products and accessories, as needed.

Sanitation & Appearance: Keep the entrance and waiting area clean, tidy, and welcoming for customers. Ensure parking lots and sidewalk areas are clean and free of debris and trash throughout the shift. Conduct daily opening and closing duties such as picking up debris or trash from parking lot and sales floor, stocking, organizing products compliantly, dusting, sweeping and mopping.

Qualifications:

1+ years of previous experience in customer service, retail, or security is preferred

Must possess a valid state issued driver's license or government issued ID

Must be 21 years of age or older per the Cannabis Control Commission regulations

Ability to pass a background check per the Cannabis Control Commission regulations

Must be able to move up to 30 lbs

Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends and holidays

Must have reliable transportation

Ability to remain stationary for long periods of time

Ability to handle repetitive motions for extended periods of time

Ability to work in an outdoor environment with fluctuating temperatures and conditions year round
