Job Title: Inpatient Pharmacist
Location: Marshfield, WI 54449
Start Date: August 17, 2026
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Evening/Night – 10 Hour Shifts
Schedule: 7/70 Schedule (Primarily 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM, occasional 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM shifts)
Guaranteed Hours: 34.5 Hours/Week

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a 13-week travel assignment in Marshfield, WI. The ideal candidate will provide medication management services in an acute care hospital setting, supporting inpatient pharmacy operations including order verification, clinical pharmacy services, sterile compounding verification, and medication safety.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of pharmacist experience
Minimum 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience required
Residency-trained or 3+ years of experience preferred
Active Wisconsin Pharmacist License required
ACT 10 candidates accepted
BLS (AHA) required
Cerner EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities:

Verify medication orders and ensure medication safety
Perform product checks and medication release
Provide remote sterile compounding verification
Conduct clinical pharmacy reviews including:
IV to PO conversions
Renal dosing adjustments
Aminoglycoside dosing
Anticoagulation dosing
Support inpatient pharmacy operations based on department needs
Comfortable handling standard pediatric medication orders

Department Details:

Acute Care Inpatient Pharmacy
Trauma Level II Facility
Pharmacy supports:
Inpatient services
ICU/ER medication needs
Pediatric medication orders due to embedded pediatric services

Schedule Details:

Primarily overnight shifts (9:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
May rotate to evening shifts (12:00 PM – 10:00 PM) as needed
Typical schedule:
One week: approximately 30 hours
Next week: approximately 40 hours
Block scheduling available for evening/night shifts
Weekend requirement: Up to every other weekend
Holiday rotation required
No regular on-call requirement (may be asked to assist with sick calls)

Additional Information:

EMR: Cerner
Medication Dispensing System: Omnicell ADMs
Compounding System: Pharmacy Keeper
Pharmacy technicians staffed 24/7 for sterile and non-sterile operations
Orientation: 1–2 weeks depending on specialty and role requirements
Dress Code: Business casual; facility-provided navy scrubs required for sterile environments

Certifications Required: BLS (AHA)
License Required: Wisconsin Pharmacist License (ACT 10 Accepted)
Experience Required: 2+ Years Pharmacist Experience
Care Setting: Acute Care / Inpatient Pharmacy
