Full Job Description

The Talent Development Partner leads the full lifecycle of organizational and talent development, building the skills, career paths, leadership capabilities, and overall readiness of employees across the organization. A key focus of this role is developing a strong leadership pipeline and preparing high-potential employees and future leaders for increased responsibility.

Essential Job Functions

Partner with HR leadership, HR Business Partners, and business leaders across multiple regions to assess organizational development and training needs and translate gaps in skills, capabilities, and leadership readiness into actionable learning strategies.
Lead the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of leadership development curricula, including future-leader training tracks, competency-based programs, and blended learning journeys.
Serve as the organization's primary corporate trainer, delivering engaging in-person and virtual instruction for employee development programs, leadership programs, workshops, and organization-wide initiatives.
Apply instructional design principles, including ADDIE and adult learning theory, to develop scalable training content, facilitator guides, job aids, e-learning modules, and assessment tools aligned with organizational values and strategic priorities.
Build and maintain employee career pathing and capability-development frameworks that support internal mobility, professional growth, succession planning, and employee retention.
Consult with HR and business leadership on succession planning, including identifying high-potential employees, evaluating bench strength for critical positions, and creating individual development plans for potential successors.
Partner with HR Business Partners on performance management processes, coaching leaders on effective feedback, goal setting, performance conversations, and incorporating performance data into employee development planning.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training and organizational development initiatives through participant feedback, performance metrics, assessments, and observed behavioral change.
Adjust and continuously improve learning programs and instructional content based on organizational needs and program effectiveness.
Design and facilitate train-the-trainer programs to strengthen facilitation capabilities among HR Business Partners and organizational leaders and expand consistent training delivery across multiple locations.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive HR-related experience focused on training, learning and development, and instructional design.
Demonstrated experience developing leadership training content and facilitating corporate learning programs.
Strong corporate training and facilitation capabilities.
Advanced knowledge of instructional design methodologies, including ADDIE and adult learning principles.
Experience developing leadership curricula, employee development programs, and career development frameworks.
Strong consultative skills with the ability to partner effectively with HR professionals, business leaders, and employees at all organizational levels.
Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to travel approximately 25% across the organization's geographic footprint.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or a related field.
Professional certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or ATD Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD).
Consultative experience supporting succession planning, performance management, and/or employee relations.
Familiarity with competency models, 9-box talent reviews, succession planning frameworks, and leadership pipeline development.
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
Experience supporting a multi-state, multi-location, healthcare, behavioral health, or similarly complex organizational environment.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Winchester, VA 22604
