Full Job Description

Title: Accountant/Bookkeeper

We are hiring motivated personnel looking to join our growing company and become a part of our team!

Job Description:
This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end accounting processes, and assisting with the day-to-day financial operations of the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles and experience using QuickBooks.

Examples of duties include:

Performing monthly bank and account reconciliations
Recording daily financial transactions in QuickBooks
Processing accounts payable and ensuring vendors are paid accurately and on time
Managing accounts receivable, including collections on overdue accounts
Preparing month-end and year-end financial reports
Posting journal entries and maintaining the general ledger
Verifying transactions are accurately recorded within the appropriate ledgers
Bringing company books to the trial balance stage
Processing payroll accurately and in a timely manner
Completing tax forms and maintaining financial records
Generating financial statements and management reports
Maintaining organized accounting documentation and records

Administrative & Systems Support

This position also works closely with company software systems and supports the accounting department with reporting and compliance.

Examples of duties include:

Working with third-party work order systems
Managing field service software that integrates with QuickBooks
Assisting the company accountant with audits and financial reporting
Maintaining accurate digital and physical financial records
Ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting procedures

Preferred Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience with financial reporting and month-end close
Payroll processing experience
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Experience with integrated accounting or ERP software
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Required Skills:

Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles
Minimum of 1 year of QuickBooks Online experience
Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
Ability to maintain confidentiality with financial information
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Professional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm

Salary: $45,000-55,000 annually. Commensurate with experience.

Benefits: Free vision and dental coverage, partial medical group insurance coverage, paid vacation, paid national holidays, and overtime available.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
