Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial / Industrial Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across commercial and industrial facilities. Your expertise will ensure that electrical operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently, supporting our clients’ infrastructure needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new installations to renovations, with a focus on high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems.

Duties

Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings, ensuring compliance with all safety standards and local electrical codes.
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts.
Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults and determine appropriate solutions.
Manage high-voltage electrical wiring projects safely while adhering to NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association) standards for electrical safety procedures.
Install and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components critical to industrial operations.
Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems, including low voltage wiring, high voltage circuits, and control panels, ensuring optimal performance.
Use power tools, hand tools, and construction equipment skillfully on various construction sites or renovation projects.
Read electrical schematics accurately to guide installation or repair tasks efficiently.
Ensure all work complies with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and local regulations.
Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry or handyman teams during renovation or construction projects to coordinate electrical work seamlessly.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, upgrades, and safety procedures performed during each project.

Experience

Proven experience as an electrician with at least 6 years experience in the electrical trades.
Demonstrated ability to work safely with high-voltage and low-voltage wiring in accordance with NFPA 70 standards.
Hands-on experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical systems.
Skilled in troubleshooting electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters.
Prior construction site experience involving installation or renovation projects is highly desirable.
Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems used in industrial environments.
Familiarity with local electrical codes including the NEC (National Electrical Code).
Ability to perform high-voltage wiring tasks safely while adhering to all safety procedures.
Experience working on diverse construction projects requiring precise schematic reading and coordination with other trades like frame carpentry or handyman services is a plus.
