Full Job Description

Steward Instructor

Large organization located in Piney Point, MD has a full time Steward Instructor position open. Duties for this position include adhering to the policies & procedures of the school QSS; teaching assigned courses in accordance with approved curriculum; subject matter expert for course development; maintaining the condition of training aids to support curriculum; participating in professional development activities developed by the school. This position requires large production kitchen experience, responsible for complying with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards, organizing menus & daily prep needed for meal schedules; production cooking as assigned; demonstrating specific techniques & methods used for recipes; monitoring all equipment for functional & safe daily use; supporting the needs of the School for special events, company requests & other specific tasks as assigned. Proper cleaning and sanitizing dishes, food preparation/handling techniques, knife skills, receiving supplies, and organizing storage areas for inventory are a must. Excellent communication skills along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prior experience in food production required. Weekends & holidays are required as needed. Train the Trainer certification (we will provide). ServSafe Food Handler and/or ServSafe Manager preferred. Other duties as assigned.
