Do you love solving complex digital measurement challenges? Are you energized by connecting paid media, email, web, and ad server data into a clear picture of performance?

At Avalon, we help mission-driven nonprofits raise millions of dollars to advance causes that matter. As our Senior Paid Media Analyst, you'll play a critical role in helping us understand how digital marketing drives results across the supporter journey.

This role sits at the intersection of Analytics and Digital, serving as Avalon’s lead resource for ad server implementation, multi-touch attribution, digital reporting infrastructure, and performance measurement. You'll work closely with our Digital team to ensure data is accurate, integrated, and actionable while helping shape how we measure success across paid media, email, and the full digital ecosystem.

What You'll Do With Us

As our Senior Paid Media Analyst, you'll help build and maintain the measurement framework that powers Avalon's digital fundraising programs including:

Ad Server & Attribution

Lead the integration and ongoing management of ad server data into Avalon's broader reporting ecosystem.
Build and maintain data pipelines that integrate ad server, paid media, email, and web analytics data.
Analyze de-duplicated conversion data and support the development of multi-touch attribution models that provide a more complete understanding of supporter behavior.

Reporting Infrastructure & Data Quality

Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance Avalon’s digital reporting environment, including Tableau dashboards and ETL workflows.
Ensure the integrity, consistency, and reconciliation of data across digital platforms, ad servers, ETL tools, and internal databases.
Develop scalable reporting solutions that enable internal teams and clients to confidently understand performance.

Performance Analysis & Strategic Insights

Analyze paid media, email, and cross-channel performance to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimization.
Translate complex analytical findings into actionable recommendations for Digital and client teams.
Support testing, forecasting, attribution analysis, and measurement initiatives that improve fundraising outcomes.

This role offers the opportunity to influence how Avalon approaches digital measurement and attribution while partnering with a collaborative team dedicated to helping nonprofits grow their impact.

Requirements:

What We Need

We’re looking for someone with a solid technical background and approximately 4-6 years of experience in digital analytics and paid media measurement and analysis. The strongest candidates will bring:

Required Experience

Experience working with paid media, email, web analytics, and digital marketing datasets.
Advanced SQL/T-SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.
Experience building and maintaining Tableau dashboards and reporting solutions.
Hands-on experience with ad server implementation, management, and reporting.
Experience with ETL tools and data ingestion platforms such as Hevo, FiveTran, Windsor, Funnel, or similar.
Experience identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving data discrepancies across reporting environments.
Strong understanding of attribution methodologies, conversion tracking, and digital measurement frameworks.

Highly Preferred

Experience working with de-duplicated conversion data and multi-touch attribution models.
Experience designing data structures, field mappings, and reporting frameworks that support scalable analytics.
Understanding of platform attribution differences across paid media and email environments.
Experience supporting nonprofit fundraising, donor acquisition, or direct response marketing programs.

Bonus Points

Python programming experience.
Experience pulling and processing data through APIs.
Experience with forecasting, scenario modeling, marketing mix modeling, or incrementality testing.
Experience working with other data visualization tools such as Looker Studio.

The salary range for this position is $95,000-$110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
