Job Overview

Join our compassionate team as a Caregiver / Home Care Aide, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of personalized care. This energetic position offers the opportunity to provide essential support with dignity, respect, and enthusiasm. You will assist clients with daily activities, monitor their health and well-being, and create a warm, safe environment that promotes independence and comfort. Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support
Monitor patients’ health status by observing vital signs, mental state, and physical condition; report changes promptly
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
Support patient transfer methods using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safety
Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations while maintaining accurate documentation
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or neurodevelopmental disorders
Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and adherence to infection control protocols
Assist with transportation for appointments or community outings, ensuring client safety at all times
Support clients during emergency situations with first aid or CPR as required; follow all safety procedures diligently
Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement personalized care plans that meet each resident’s unique needs

Requirements

Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments
Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately
Experience providing dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care or hospice support preferred
Familiarity with patient transfer methods including Hoyer lifts and manual handling skills
Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; ongoing training encouraged
Ability to assist with medication administration following prescribed care plans
Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks safely; comfortable with patient transfer methods
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of client information
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is a plus
Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation for client outings preferred
