Full Job Description

Are you looking for a job in the Food Service Industry that gives you weekends off and work/life balance? Do you enjoy serving guests in a professional setting where you are valued and appreciated? Then consider a position with Creative Dining Services!

Creative Dining Services is looking for a Grill and Pizza Cook to serve our guests within the Jackson National Life Insurance Building in Lansing, MI. The Grill/Pizza Cook is responsible for ensuring that high-quality, properly seasoned, nutritious food is being provided throughout the operation.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm with 1/2 hour unpaid break

Core Responsibilities:

Time food production such that all food is ready at the time of service
Prepare food items according to established recipes and menus in a manner in which preserves food freshness, quality and appeal
Utilize batch cooking techniques to avoid over or under production
Store food items according to established standards of practice; utilize proper labeling and dating
Hold prepared food items at appropriate temperatures (below 40° if cold, above 135° if hot)
Maintain production records (food usage, overages, shortages, customer counts, etc.)
Follow established work rules and regulations; ready for work in the kitchen, in uniform, at the scheduled time
Putting away/Pulling stock as needed
