Position
We are seeking an experienced, creative, and client-focused Senior SharePoint Technician / SharePoint Solutions Specialist to design, build, customize, and support modern SharePoint environments for a diverse client base. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of practical SharePoint experience, can create SharePoint sites from scratch, can demonstrate prior successful work, and has the ability to turn business requirements into polished, reliable, and user-friendly Microsoft 365 collaboration solutions.

A hands-on SharePoint professional who can independently design a modern site, configure permissions and governance, build useful workflows and lists, customize the look and feel for each client, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
SharePoint Site Design, Buildout, and Customization Support
· Design, create, and launch SharePoint Online sites from scratch based on client requirements.
· Build modern SharePoint Communication Sites, Team Sites, Hub Sites, department portals, intranets, project workspaces, knowledge bases, and document management solutions.
· Create custom navigation, landing pages, page templates, site structures, and user-friendly layouts.
· Develop visually appealing and professional SharePoint experiences that align with each client branding, workflows, culture, and business needs.
· Configure document libraries, lists, calendars, announcements, news pages, web parts, metadata, content types, views, search experiences, and versioning.
· Create scalable site structures that support growth, security, ease of use, and long-term maintainability.
Information Architecture and Governance
· Gather client requirements and translate them into logical SharePoint architecture and functional site designs.
· Define and implement site hierarchy, hub association strategy, navigation structure, metadata model, naming standards, and content organization.
· Configure permissions using Microsoft 365 Groups, SharePoint groups, role-based access, and inheritance practices.
· Support governance planning, including ownership models, lifecycle management, content controls, retention, and access management.
· Help clients reduce file server sprawl by organizing documents into secure, searchable, and structured SharePoint repositories.
Microsoft 365 and Power Platform Integration
· Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, Outlook, Microsoft Lists, Microsoft Forms, and other Microsoft 365 services.
· Build Power Automate workflows for approvals, notifications, task routing, document review, onboarding, offboarding, and business process automation.
· Develop Power Apps forms or lightweight business applications that connect to SharePoint lists and libraries.
· Create practical low-code and no-code solutions that improve productivity and reduce manual processes.
· Document and train clients on how to use and maintain implemented workflows, forms, and sites.
Business Intelligence and Reporting
· Power BI experience is a plus, including the ability to connect SharePoint lists, Excel files, and other Microsoft 365 data sources to dashboards and reports.
· Create executive-level dashboards, KPI reports, and operational reporting pages where applicable.
· Assist with data cleanup, list design, and report-friendly SharePoint data structures.
Client-Facing Delivery and Support
· Participate in client discovery meetings, requirements sessions, planning calls, and solution demonstrations.
· Create clear technical documentation, user guides, training materials, and admin handoff notes.
· Provide end-user training and administrative knowledge transfer.
· Troubleshoot SharePoint access issues, broken links, sync problems, list/library configuration issues, web part issues, and workflow errors.
· Manage multiple client projects and priorities while maintaining strong communication and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on SharePoint experience, preferably with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.
Portfolio: Ability to show prior work, including screenshots, live demos, case studies, client references, or examples of sites, portals, workflows, dashboards, or custom solutions built previously.
Build-from-scratch capability: Proven ability to design and create SharePoint sites without relying solely on pre-existing templates.
Client customization: Creative ability to customize SharePoint experiences for different industries, departments, and client requirements.
Communication: Ability to explain SharePoint concepts and solution recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
Independence: Ability to work independently, manage assigned deliverables, and take ownership of client outcomes.
Preferred Certifications & Experience
· Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate.
· Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
· Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator or Enterprise Administrator experience.
· Microsoft Teams Administrator or SharePoint Administrator experience.
· Experience with Microsoft Purview, data loss prevention, retention policies, sensitivity labels, and compliance-oriented environments.
· Experience supporting government, municipal, healthcare, finance, professional services, manufacturing, or compliance-sensitive clients.
· Experience with GCC, GCC High, CMMC, NIST 800-171, or regulated Microsoft 365 environments is a plus.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
