Bioanalytical Chemistry supports drug development through quantitative analysis of drugs in biological samples, developing and validating LC-MS/MS methods, delivering bioanalytical data, and ensuring GxP-compliant results for preclinical, PK/PD, safety, and clinical studies.
Essential Functions (The fundamental Competencies/Skills & Responsibilities of the role (products and services provided/results accomplished) include, but are not limited to, those listed:
- Perform and document bioanalytical procedures, materials, and results in compliance with protocols, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Execute routine sample analysis and method validation studies independently using UPLC-MS/MS platforms.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment with minimal oversight.
- Analyze data, prepare study documentation, and independently write study and non-study deviations.
- Support laboratory operations through inventory management, solution preparation, labeling, and equipment maintenance.
- Assist with laboratory investigations, assay troubleshooting, and quality observations.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and apply critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, project leads, and supervisors through clear communication.
- Provide support for sample analysis and validation projects as needed.
- Assist in training and onboarding new staff members.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support laboratory and business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in scientific discipline
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical laboratory environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications.
- Ability to learn and work within validated laboratory and data management systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and time constraints.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, evenings, weekends, or additional shifts as business needs require.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without a sponsor visa, now or in the future.
The pay rate for this position is $27.50/hour.
