We are currently seeking an experienced (1st Shift & 2nd Shift) Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team in Bridgeview, IL.
Job Description:
- Ensure FAI, in process, and final inspections meet internal and external specs.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues quickly and effectively.
- Document nonconformities and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Help prepare for and participate in audits-including calibration (internal, customer, third party).
- Lead daily inspection activities on the production floor; coordinate a team of inspectors.
- Help maintain inspection procedures, calibration procedures, checklists, and work instructions.
- Train and mentor QC and production to uphold quality standards and best practices.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- 3+ years in manufacturing quality inspection, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of quality control processes and inspection techniques
- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometer, height gauges, etc.).
- Working knowledge of blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Hands-on experience with First Article Inspection (FAI), non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action (CAPA) processes.
- Industry-specific experience (e.g., aerospace, automotive, medical devices).
