About Us

Braesael Management Company is a growing community association management firm dedicated to providing exceptional service to homeowners associations and condominium associations. We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and motivated HOA Accountant to join our accounting team.

Position Summary

The Accountant is responsible for the day to day financial management of multiple homeowners and condominium associations. This position requires strong accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines while providing outstanding customer service to residents, board members, vendors and internal staff.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned associations.
Reconcile bank, reserve, and investment accounts.
Review and post journal entries.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Process assessment billing and homeowner account adjustments.
Assist with annual budgets.
Monitor reserve transfers and investment activity.
Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
Work closely with Community Managers to answer financial questions.
Ensure compliance with governing documents, management agreements, and accounting policies.
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Assist with special projects and process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree in accounting preferred.
5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.
HOA accounting experience is preferred but not required.
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple communities and meet monthly deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Positive attitude and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
