Responsibilities

Provide a wide range of hairstyling services including cuts, blowouts, styling, and special occasion looks that meet client expectations.
Perform advanced hair coloring techniques utilizing color theory principles to achieve vibrant or subtle results.
Apply and maintain hair extensions, hair threading, and eyelash extensions to enhance clients’ features.
Conduct consultations to understand client needs, recommend suitable treatments, and educate on hair care routines.
Operate salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking.
Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by sterilizing tools and ensuring a clean work environment in compliance with health regulations.
Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointments, and upselling retail products like nail care and makeup items.
Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in barbering, cosmetology techniques, and retail strategies to foster a collaborative atmosphere.
Support store management in daily operations, inventory management, and achieving sales goals through effective retail math and upselling techniques.

Experience

Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a hairstylist or cosmetologist with a strong portfolio of diverse services.
Knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for scheduling and client communication.
Skilled in various hair care techniques including cutting, coloring, styling, and the application of hair extensions or nail care treatments.
Familiarity with sanitation protocols specific to cosmetology practices to ensure client safety and hygiene standards are met.
Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with clients through excellent client communication and personalized service delivery.
Experience in retail sales within a salon environment, including upselling products like makeup or skincare items to enhance client satisfaction.
Certification in cosmetology or barbering as required by state licensing boards; additional training in advanced techniques such as straight razor shaving or makeup application is a plus.
