Let’s be clear—the ag market is tough right now. We aren't looking for someone to sit behind a desk and wait for the phone to ring. We need an aggressive, focused salesperson ready to get out in the field and make things happen.

As a farming-family-owned shop, we skip the corporate red tape and mega-dealer micromanagement, giving you the freedom to build relationships your way, backed by a dedicated and trustworthy team. As multi-generation farmers, the Cox family knows firsthand that CLAAS builds the best combines, hay equipment, and tractors on the market. We believe in their iron, their people, and their personalized support. They share our exact philosophy: do whatever it takes to help our farmers succeed. Out in the field, you’ll be the face of that commitment.

What the Job Looks Like

Your goal is simple: move the needle. You’ll take care of our loyal customers while aggressively finding new ones to expand our footprint throughout the Carolinas.

Maximize Current Accounts: Understand our existing customers' operations deeply enough to identify exactly where new equipment, upgrades, or technology can help their farms run more profitably.
Beat the Competition: Win over operations running competitors' equipment. This means heavy in-person prospecting—pulling onto the farm, introducing yourself, and setting up head-to-head field comparisons to prove CLAAS builds a better product.
Master the Demo: Demos are the key to our sales strategy. You won't just hand out brochures; you'll execute hands-on field demonstrations. Get in the cab, get the equipment in the dirt, and let the machinery close the deal.

What We’re Looking For:

Sales Grit: A proven track record of closing deals, especially in a tough market where you have to take business away from the competition.
Outgoing Confidence: You genuinely enjoy meeting strangers and are eager to walk onto a competitor's farm, shake hands, and earn their business.
Ag Knowledge: Experience with tractors or the ag industry is a huge plus. If not, you must be a fast learner with a genuine interest in the farming lifestyle.
Self-Motivation: We offer professional autonomy, not micromanagement. You need to build your own daily plan and execute it without needing someone to hold your hand.
Flexibility: A clean driving record is required since you'll spend most of your time on the road. With a large territory, you'll need a flexible schedule and be comfortable with semi-regular overnight stays.
