Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team and support our financial operations. In this vital role, you will manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, ensure accurate financial record-keeping, and assist with financial reporting. Your expertise in various accounting software and understanding of financial concepts will help maintain the integrity of our financial data. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to an organization committed to transparency, accuracy, and operational excellence.

Duties

Record and process journal entries using our accounting software
Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Conduct account analysis and general ledger accounting in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Reconcile accounts through detailed review of debits & credits, general ledger reconciliation, and account analysis
Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements when necessary

Experience

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles
Demonstrated proficiency with accounting software or equivalent system
Familiarity with double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliation processes
Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, general ledger accounting, and account analysis
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in financial report writing and record keeping
