Position Summary:
Eastern Illinois University is seeking candidates for full-time, IT Technical Associate-Assistant Director of Enrollment Support. This position coordinates resources and daily support functions that sustain enrollment management operations, including contributing to communication planning, supervision of graduate assistants and student workers, leading some forms of recruitment and retention analysis, committee service on issues related to recruitment and retention, leading strategic initiatives related to data infrastructure, and maintaining the University’s catalogue of scheduled Argos reports. The position serves as a primary support resource for Enrollment Management offices and campus partners by fielding and managing scheduled and ad hoc report requests, helping prioritize operational work, and ensuring accurate information is available to support planning for recruitment and retention.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Queries EIU’s relational databases for various organizational processes
- Tasked with onboarding new technologies and maintaining SFTP processes
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Any one or any combination totaling two (2) years (24 months) from the following categories:
- College coursework which includes Information Technology (IT), IT Management, Programming, IT systems, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
- 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
- Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
- 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
- Bachelor’s Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
- Work experience in IT-related functions, such as hardware/software support, programming, network design, network engineering, IT systems integration, or closely related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience utilizing Structured Query Language
- Minimum of two years of experience working with Oracle or MySQL databases
- Minimum of two years of experience handling, maintaining, analyzing, or reporting data in a professional setting. Demonstrated knowledge of data privacy principles, confidentiality standards, data governance practices, and the ability to ensure data accuracy and security while complying with applicable policies, regulations, and ethical standards.

- Knowledge of the systems and operations used within the areas and departments of responsibility.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to oversee and coordinate activities of user groups.
- Ability to effectively communicate with other colleagues, supervisors, administrative staff, and other IT users.
- Ability to identify and resolve technical problems.
- Ability to effectively communicate and professionally interact with all staff levels.
Work Hours
The core work hours of this position are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
Starting Salary/Pay Rate Range
Current starting pay rate for this position is $4,583.00/ month commensurate with experience
