Full Job Description

Location: Maui, Hawaii
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: 40–50 hours per week
This is not a remote position.

We are a fast-paced Maui-based food and beverage company operating multiple restaurants, food trucks, and related businesses. We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper / Office Manager who can work exclusively for our company and help keep our financial, office, and operational systems organized and moving forward.

This is a key position for someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, organized, tech-savvy, and a strong problem solver.

Responsibilities Include:

Manage bookkeeping and daily financial records
Use QuickBooks for bookkeeping, reporting, and financial organization
Handle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
Assist with payroll and employee-related paperwork
Track inventory and help maintain inventory systems
Assist with cost analysis for food, labor, supplies, and operations
Review and help organize P&L reports
Assist with scheduling and job/labor analysis
Communicate with vendors and help manage vendor accounts
Handle compliance paperwork and business documentation
Support general office duties and office organization
Help set up new office, bookkeeping, reporting, and workflow systems
Use AI tools daily to improve workflow, organization, reporting, communication, and problem-solving
Keep financial and company records accurate and up to date
Work closely with ownership, managers, and vendors
Identify problems and help create solutions

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of high-level bookkeeping or office management experience
QuickBooks experience required
Payroll experience required
AR/AP experience required
Food and beverage knowledge strongly preferred
Inventory and cost analysis experience preferred
P&L experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and Google Sheets
Strong spreadsheet skills
Comfortable using AI tools daily for job tasks
Able to help create, organize, and improve systems
Must be able to work in person on Maui
Must be able to work 40–50 hours per week
Must be organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
Must be comfortable handling confidential information
Must be a strong communicator
Must be comfortable with all aspects of office work

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal person is not just a data-entry bookkeeper. We need someone who understands numbers, can manage office responsibilities, spot problems, communicate with vendors and managers, and help keep the company organized. This person should be comfortable setting up new systems, improving old systems, and using technology and AI tools to make the company more efficient.

Food and beverage experience is a major plus.

Schedule:

Full-time, 40–50 hours per week
In-person position on Maui
