Career Overview – Full-Time Advanced Practice Clinician (FNP/PA), AFC Urgent Care

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a dedicated, compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our AFC Augusta Urgent Care Clinic in Greenville, SC. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative, fast-paced urgent care environment while enjoying predictable scheduling and strong organizational support.

As a member of our urgent care team, you will evaluate and treat a broad spectrum of non-emergent illnesses and injuries, supported by experienced medical assistants and front-office staff. Our clinics operate seven days per week, offering consistency, work-life balance, and meaningful connections with patients and colleagues.

Urgent Care Scope of Services

Walk-in access to high-quality, non-emergency care
Occupational medicine services, including workers’ compensation, return-to-work evaluations, and pre-employment physicals
On-site diagnostics, including laboratory testing, X-rays, and EKGs
Seamless coordination with primary care and specialty providers

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care for walk-in urgent care patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care.
Collaborate closely with medical assistants and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
Educate patients and clearly communicate care plans and follow-up instructions.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
Demonstrate a commitment to quality, patient satisfaction, and continuous professional growth.
Travel Requirements: (required)
Up to 20% floating to other clinics as needed (mileage reimbursed over 30 miles)

Qualifications

Preferred:
Minimum of 2 years of active experience as a PA or FNP
Urgent care, emergency medicine, or family medicine experience
Required:
Current, unrestricted South Carolina PA or FNP license (active before starting)
Active DEA and CDS licenses (active before starting)
New Grads: 12-week Jump Start Program available for new FNP/PA graduates with applicable clinical experience as an MA, Tech, Nurse in Urgent Care, Family Medicine, and/or Emergency Medicine.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
DOT certification within 60 days of hire
Must be comfortable treating patients of all ages, including infants and geriatrics

Clinic Hours

Monday-Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Work Hours - Full-Time:

39 hours per week.
1optional administrative hour per week dedicated to charting
2-week schedule
Week 1: Three 12-hour shifts
Week 2: Two 12-hour shifts plus weekend
Clinics are closed New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day

Work Location: 1800 Augusta Street, Suite B, Greenville, SC 29605
