Full Job Description

Job Summary:

This role involves fabricating and welding structural components according to engineering specifications, ensuring high-quality standards and safety compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy steel fabrication and be proficient in various welding techniques.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols.
Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components for industrial cranes.
Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other metals.
Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, grinders, plasma cutters, and drill presses.
Inspect welds and fabricated parts for quality and accuracy.
Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to resolve fabrication issues.
Assist in crane assembly and installation as needed.
Ability to lift and handle up to 35 lbs. on a consistent basis and work above ground heights, in excess of 50ft.
Ability to work in shop and on off-site field work.
Ability to pass GMAW, and SMAW, 3G, A-36 weld certification test.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in welding preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in welding and fabrication, preferably in heavy manufacturing.
Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
Ability to work at heights greater than 20'
Travel up to 20% percent.
Must possess own tools
Basic computer skills: data entry and navigate various Microsoft programs as deemed necessary.
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and practices.
Must possess a clean driving record in order to operate corporate vehicles.
