Position Summary:
Jackson Purchase Medical Center Human Resource Generalist supports the Human Resource Director in all aspects
of HR including, but not limited to, the development implementation, maintenance and monitoring of 6 major areas:
Employee Relations, Payroll administration, Safety program, Employee health and welfare benefits, local, state and
federal reporting.
Reports to: Director of Human Resources
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assist the Director of HR in all aspects of Human Resources.

Update and maintain all employee personnel files (electronic personnel files)

Develop and maintain job descriptions with the assistance of the appropriate Director.

Maintain payroll and personnel changes in Lawson by accessing Service Now.

Complies with organizational and regulatory policies for handling confidential employee information.

Provides a positive and professional representation of the organization.

Maintains compliance with organization's policies, as well as established practices, protocols and procedures of the
position, department and applicable professional standards. -
Maintains competency and knowledge of current standards of practice, trends and developments in related scope of
job role or practice. -
Participates in ongoing quality improvement activities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education
Bachelor’s Degree of Related Field Required
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to
work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Previous Experience Required (2 years in an office setting, preferably Human Resources.) Ability to handle a multi line phone system, good customer service skills, good oral and written communication skills, good organizational
skills and the ability to work as a team in a busy Human Resources office required. Must maintain confidentiality at all
times.
