Full Job Description

Veteran Development and Construction is looking for an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator

The Ideal Candidate must be able to meet the below requirements:

Analyze required bid documents, blueprints, and project specifications to gain a thorough understanding of the project

Ability to research historical project data to produce a budget for clients

Determine lead times and/or what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product

Prepare material estimates, Labor estimates and cost estimates for the product or service

Develop and maintain relationships with company vendors, Client’s Subcontractor’s, and contractors

Manage bids from vendors and contractors and use bid data to prepare a detailed cost analysis

Compile and record actual costs

Ensure that estimates meet client requirements. Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for a project

Review drawings and specifications and provide scope of works for all trades

Deliver a consistent and well-defined initial proposal and bid qualifications

Collaborate well with other estimating staff to develop a well-rounded budget and proposal

Meet with Project Managers once project has been awarded.

7-10 years previous commercial construction estimating necessary experience and skill set

Excellent written and oral communication

Advanced math skills and computer knowledge

Proficient use of Procore bidding and estimating software or similar software is a plus

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Team Player

Must have good driving record

Normal Working Hours, Additional Working Hours and travel as needed. This is a full-time position, working 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday–Friday

Full-time Pay: Based on experience
