Wellsential Health is seeking an Admissions Director to lead admissions, census development, and business development efforts for Edinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Windsor Arbor View.

Role Overview
The Admissions Director manages the multi-facility admissions and sales process, including oversight of Admissions Coordinators and backup admissions staff. This role builds referral relationships, screens potential admissions, coordinates smooth transitions, and leads strategies that support inquiry and census growth. Approximately 75% of the role is field-based through sales calls, referral visits, screenings, and business development events.
Responsibilities
- Lead admissions, sales, and business development efforts for both facilities to increase qualified referrals, admissions, and census
- Supervise, train, and support Admissions Coordinators and backup admissions team members on inquiries, tours, closing skills, admission agreements, and welcome packets
- Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, case managers, home health and hospice agencies, assisted and independent living communities, and other referral partners
- Develop and maintain weekly 30/60/90-day sales plans, call calendars, market and competitor analyses, census strategies, referral targets, and specialty-program opportunities
- Conduct sales calls, facility tours, community education programs, quarterly referral events, and other outreach activities; follow the company sales-cycle process and document results
- Screen referrals using clinical and financial guidelines, review charts and payer eligibility, coordinate admission decisions with licensed clinical staff, and ensure required screening and PASSR documentation is completed
- Respond to referral inquiries promptly, including hospital requests within 30 minutes, and accurately communicate admission details to clinical leaders and department heads
- Oversee timely completion of admission agreements, welcome packets, demographic and financial information, waitlists, reports, surveys, scorecards, and admissions tracking systems
- Participate in department-head meetings, daily regional huddles, sales planning meetings, and the Internal Business Development Committee; communicate admissions, readmissions, referral trends, and upcoming outreach activities
- Manage the marketing budget and coordinate promotional events, community partnerships, and membership in organizations relevant to the resident population
- Maintain a tour-ready facility and model room, monitor available beds and accommodations, and partner with departments to correct identified concerns
- Stay informed on skilled nursing regulations, facility survey results, the Five-Star Quality Rating System, payer requirements, competitors, and healthcare market trends
- Support customer-service initiatives and service recovery, including documenting and escalating concerns from referral sources, residents, and families
- Participate in after-hours, holiday, and weekend on-call duties as assigned and assist with other duties or projects as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred
- Skilled nursing, post-acute care, healthcare admissions, sales, or business development experience preferred
- Strong customer service, communication, presentation, relationship-building, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, collaborate with interdisciplinary partners, and work independently across two facilities
- Ability to understand and explain facility services, admission criteria, payer eligibility, survey results, and the Five-Star Quality Rating System
- Comfortable conducting frequent field visits, community outreach, sales calls, and local travel
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
