Full Job Description

We are looking for a Data Entry Clerk to input, record, and manage information into our record keeping programs from paper documents. The ideal candidate will be computer literate and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail. You will report to the Office Manager or another senior team member. Understanding of data confidentiality principles is compulsory. The company will rely on you to prepare accurate reports and update and manage data that are easily accessible through a digital database. All other duties and projects will be assigned by Office Manager and General Manager. This position is entry-level. Must have a positive attitude, and be willing to learn. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required and QuickBooks is preferred. Must have a minimum of one year of work in an office setting. Some activities require the ability to carry up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners
Work on spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes
Verify data by comparing it to source documents
Update existing data
Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost and properly recorded and stored
Answer phone calls, take messages, and relay messages
Enter bills and prepare checks in QuickBooks
Proven experience as a data entry clerk
Fast typing skills; Knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred
Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
Basic understanding of QuickBooks
Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills
Great attention to detail
High school degree or equivalent
Responsibilities are but not limited to:1. Entering bills in QuickBooks.2. Inputting invoices into the system, and other forms of data entry.3. Answering phone calls and relaying messages.4. Receiving packages. 5. Manage and upkeep of company Filing system. All other duties and projects will be assigned by the Office Manager and General Manager. This position is entry-level. Must have a positive attitude, and be willing to learn. Knowledge of QuickBooks is required. Must at least have one year of work in an office setting. Some activities require the ability to carry up to 50lbs.

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour
