Summary/Objective
To support manufacturing operations by maintaining, trouble shooting and repairing all facilities and manufacturing equipment in a safe and orderly fashion as directed by the maintenance supervisor or maintenance manager.
Essential Functions
· Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that molds and machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
· Set up, install, and repair machinery and equipment.
· Fabrication and upkeep of parts and tools
· Repair or replace defective equipment, and record maintenance and repair work performed, and the cost of work.
· Assemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
· Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
· Set up and operate machine and adjust controls that regulate operational functions to ensure conformance to specifications.
· Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches to precision measuring instruments, and electrical and electronic testing devices.
· Maintain department repair parts stock and inventory.
· Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications.
· Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
· Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
· Lubricates, oils, or applies adhesive or other material to molds, machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures.
· Replaces or repairs metal, wood, leather, glass, or other lining in machine or equipment compartments or containers.
· Cleans machine and machine parts, using cleaning solvent, cloth, air gun, hose, vacuum, or other equipment.
· Removes hardened material from machine or machine parts, using abrasives, power and hand tools, jackhammer, sledgehammer, or other equipment.
· Collects and discards worn machine parts and other garbage to maintain machinery and work areas.
· Transports machine parts, tools, equipment and other material between work areas and storage, using hilo, hoist, or dolly.
· Examine and test machinery, equipment, components, and parts for defects, and to ensure proper, efficient, and safe functioning
· Apply protective materials to molds, equipment, components, and parts in order to prevent defects and corrosion.
· Clean and remove build up from molds on all lines.
· Lead 6S cleaning and organization standards in the Zone.
· Comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Lock Out, and all other Safety requirements.
· All other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Entry-level/limited experience: ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. Requires strong prioritization skills
Minimum (3) years industrial maintenance experience
Journeyman’s card, Associates Degree in related field and or minimum of 8 years equivalent experience within industrial maintenance field
Support Preventative Maintenance efforts
Work to blueprints and sketches
Able to read & interpret complex patterns and blueprints
Basic diagnose & troubleshoot equipment: Repair or Replace tools, assemble parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment
Technical Training within the following areas: (1) Hydraulic/pneumatic system maintenance and repair (2) Mechanical power transmission maintenance and repair (3) Combustion gas train maintenance and repair (4) HVAC maintenance and repair (5) Welding and fabrication o Machine tool operation, maintenance, and repair
Demonstrated ability* in the following areas: (1) Hydraulic/pneumatic system maintenance and repair (2) Mechanical power transmission maintenance and repair. (3) Combustion gas train maintenance and repair (4) HVAC maintenance and repair (5) Welding and fabrication o Machine tool operation, maintenance, and repair (6) Industrial electronics (7) Robot and PLC programming and trouble shooting
Forklift License required Training Requirements
Able to diagnose & troubleshoot equipment: Ability to troubleshoot production processes and make mechanical adjustments as necessary
Able to identify and fix root cause failures
Demonstrated ability* Able to diagnose & troubleshoot all equipment within the plant
Willing and able to train others within the maintenance department
Work Environment

The work is performed in a manufacturing environment which contains dust and material particles in the air. Chemicals under high pressure within the facility require the use of approved safety glasses. The noise level in the work environment is medium to loud and may require the use of hearing protection.
