Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a positive work environment. This position requires strong leadership abilities, exceptional culinary skills, and a commitment to food safety and sanitation standards.

Duties

Assist the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities.
Oversee kitchen staff and ensure efficient workflow during meal service.
Prepare and present high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant's standards.
Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain proper food storage procedures.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu development and special event catering.
Monitor food quality and presentation to uphold our culinary reputation.
Handle any issues that arise in the kitchen promptly and effectively.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the food industry.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food handling, and kitchen management.
Experience in banquet preparation and catering services is preferred.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Familiarity with dietary department requirements is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Culinary degree or relevant certification is desirable but not mandatory.
