Full Job Description

Research Products International is a leading manufacturer and distributor of chemicals and supplies for life science research. We are a growing company looking to hire for a new position as a QC Chemist. The QC Chemist performs all tasks necessary to ensure that all incoming, in-process and finished products meet product specifications. This includes chemical testing for quantification as well as identification of raw materials and components of finished products in a GMP facility. QC Chemist reports to Quality Control Manager.

Job Responsibilities

· Testing/analysis of raw materials and finished products per sampling plan

· QC verification of products to established specifications

· Identification using FTIR, analytical testing using pH/Conductivity meters, titrations, UV, refractometry, densitometry, endotoxin, nuclease, polarimetry and melting point

· Accurate reporting of all results (in and out of specification)

· Verify calibration status and/or calibrate equipment.

· Maintaining QC files (hardcopies and electronic)

. adhere to stability studies schedule and perform time point testing/reporting

Required Skills

· Good documentation practices

. Experience with operation and trouble shooting of lab equipment is a must.

. Detail oriented, self-motivated, with excellent observation skills.

· Ability to work in a multi tasked environment

· Excellent organizational skills

· Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft based applications)

. Familaity with inventory management software (ERP) and QMS software

Required Qualifications/Experience

· BS in Science discipline

· Knowledge of ISO 9001 and GMP regulations and Quality Systems

Experience in the use of analytical testing equipment especially FTIR, Endotoxin test equipment, KF.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
