InfusaLounge Integrative & Functional Medicine is an efficient, technology-enabled, healthcare platform, highly focused on improving patient care and access to infusion therapies, disease management and infusion services.
InfusaLounge Integrative & Functional Medicine is looking for an RN to start Vitamin IV’s and administer IM injections. Work alongside our clinical team in Infusion Suite.
Must be highly proficient in starting IVs, IM/SQ Injections and patient health assessments. Knowledge of Peptide therapy and lab draws.
Located in Allen, TX
Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm
Saturday and Sunday 9am - 3pm
Qualifications
Must be able to work work independently if required - Multitask, preparation of IVs, DCing IV, and check out if needed - face-paced environment with some down time.
- BLS Certification (Required)
- RN (Required)
- Bachelor's (Preferred)
- Nursing: 5 years (Preferred)
- Must have excellent IV administration skills - Experience with veins that easily collapse or roll, are too thin, or are hard to find and advancing a catheter. We use blood control catheters - no need to occlude the vein.
Job Responsibilities
- Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Current knowledge or willingness to learn information to provide patients on compound ingredients, dosage, storage medication(s), use of medication(s), pertinent interaction(s) and other information relating to the compounded medication(s).
- Mixes pharmaceutical preparations and appropriately labeled containers.
- Establishes and maintains compounding records and enters prescription data accurately.
- Assists the clinic team in providing patient care.
- Assists in maintaining inventory in our inventory management system, including, but not limited to: labels, medication, compounding ingredients, vials, etc.
- Cleans and helps maintain equipment and work areas according to SOPs.
- Maintains proper storage and security conditions of vitamins, ingredients, and finished compounds.
- Knowledge in Ozone IVs, Heavy Metal Chelation and Hyperbaric Oxygen Chambers a plus - training is provided.
- Follows established SOPs/Aseptic Technique, assists with formulation development of new SOPs and data entry, and has competence in mathematical calculations.
- Effectively communicates with prescribers and other healthcare professionals, conveying appropriate information to designated staff for proper mixing of IV vitamins per assigned labels and IM Injections
- Interacts professionally with patients, staff and external associates as needed.
- Prepare IV & IM vitamins for administration with the appropriate technique.
- Inserting, monitoring, and removing IV - ensuring needles and tubing stay in place during treatment, and procedure is done as easily and comfortably as possible.
- Oversight of the client during the infusion process.
- Reviewing Micronutrient Nutrient testing and ensuring the clients are up to date with f/u infusion appointments.
- Clean and maintain infusion mixing room.
- Various Office and Customer Service duties include but not limited to scheduling appointments, verifying consents are filled out and completed, reviewing health history forms, and providing excellent customer service.
- Performs venipuncture. Possible access to implanted ports or PICC lines.
- Triage's patient phone calls as needed and documents relevant information in the client’s chart.
- Additional tasks as needed.
Patient Education and Service Knowledge
- Maintain a working knowledge of the clinic’s IV infusions, injections, wellness services, and treatment programs.
- Educate patients regarding the general purpose, expected experience, potential side effects, aftercare, and provider-approved instructions associated with their treatment.
- Answer non-diagnostic patient questions accurately and professionally.
- Escalate questions requiring diagnosis, treatment modification, or prescribing decisions to the appropriate licensed provider.
- Develop familiarity with services including:
- Vitamin IV therapy
- Wellness injections
- Medical weight-management programs
- Peptide therapy
- Hormone optimization
- Ozone therapy
- Heavy-metal chelation
- Hyperbaric oxygen therapy
- Integrative and functional medicine services
- Appropriately educate patients about other relevant services available within the clinic without using high-pressure sales tactics.
Qualifications
- Frequently required to walk, stand, and sit. Use hands to use/hold various compounding equipment and machinery. Reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl to manipulate equipment or storage of supplies.
- Occasional lifting of equipment or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds and carrying objects of varying weights.
- The position requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
- Position requires maintaining composure, keeping emotions in check, controlling anger, and avoiding aggressive behavior (even in very difficult situations).
- Position requires being open to change (positive and negative) and to considerable variety in the workplace.
- Possible travel to upcoming locations for training and symposiums.
- Frequent work interruptions.
- Strong venous access skills; must be able to access peripheral veins easily without backup.
- Availability to work weekend hours if needed till 3pm, and flexibility to work alternate shifts on short notice.

- Educate /market other services available at the center.
- Ability to commit to at least 1 weekend a month.
Specific Qualifications
- RN active, unrestricted license in the state of Texas; graduate of accredited Nursing program
- Minimum of 2-5 years of infusion experience is required
- Previous experience administering Vitamin IV infusion therapy a plus
- Current BLS CPR certification
Pay: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
