Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Glazing Superintendent to lead and oversee all aspects of glazing projects on construction sites. This role involves managing teams, coordinating with project stakeholders, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high-quality results on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess extensive construction management experience, strong leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of glazing systems, blueprints, and project scheduling tools. As a pivotal member of our construction team, you will drive project success through proactive supervision, meticulous planning, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise glazing crews to ensure efficient installation of glass, aluminum, and other façade systems in accordance with project specifications and schematics.
Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software to coordinate activities and meet deadlines.
Review blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to interpret design intent and ensure accurate execution on site.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to align project goals and resolve any technical or logistical issues promptly.
Monitor quality control standards by inspecting work progress regularly and conducting tests such as ohmmeter readings for electrical components when applicable.
Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations by implementing safety protocols, conducting site inspections, and promoting a culture of safety among team members.
Manage project budgets by tracking costs related to materials, labor, equipment (including heavy machinery like pipeline or boom lifts), and subcontractor services.
Oversee procurement of materials using construction estimating tools like HeavyBid or similar software to ensure timely delivery without delays.
Maintain comprehensive documentation including daily reports, incident logs, change orders, and progress photos for transparency and accountability.
Enforce compliance with contracts and project specifications while managing scope changes effectively to avoid delays or cost overruns.

Experience

Proven management experience supervising glazing or façade installation projects within the construction industry.
Extensive construction site experience with a strong understanding of building codes, safety standards (OSHA), and quality assurance practices.
Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately for precise execution of glazing systems.
Familiarity with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam Revu for document management; Primavera P6 for scheduling; Primavera P6 or equivalent for project planning; HeavyBid for estimating; and other construction management tools.
Hands-on experience supervising teams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Knowledge of electrical testing procedures using tools like ohmmeters when working with integrated systems or specialized glazing components.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in budgeting, scheduling, and reporting.
